LRP GT-3 Turbo tuning?

Just aquired one of these, and was fairly interested to see mention of tuning parts.

I'd like to replace the brushes with some (apparently) more powerful ones, but how easy is it to replace them?

Well, another cheap £7 motor melted, I'm looking for something a little nicer. I'm thinking of getting a LRP GT3 Turbo 17x2 and running it with a 21 tooth pinion, stock spur gear. Good idea?

Traxxas E-Revo?

Still tempted by the Rustler, but I'm a bit too fond of of 4wd to give it up that easily!

Saw the E-Revo, but I can't find the Brushless edition anywhere in England, anyone got one?

I was a little confused because I've never purchased a RTR before (my only other RC is a DB01) - I had rather silly mental images of ending up with a very fast truggy with all the up-gradability of...

Traxxas Rustler VXL Brushless

Looking at this for a fun, fast basher.

Anyone own one? They look like silly fun to drive, but I'm not sure how easy it would be to upgrade to 2.4GHz - I'd much prefer to use my own controller...

Any ideas of what motor I would want with a balance between speed/torque, with a slight favouring of torque? Non-brushless at the moment, I can't afford that kind of money just now :)

Gearing for an Ansmann Clash 15?

Got one of these little beauties, and I'm wondering what pinion I should stick in it - the 18T in there before got fairly hot with the kit pinion, so i reckon a 15T would cook with the same!

Anyone know? I just busted a kit shock bashing (Not badly, just a K part needs replacing), and I'm thinking of grabbing a set of WO Universals with the hop-up shocks :)

It may work with the TRF hop-up shocks too - at least it's listed as an option for the TRF501X!

I know! I have a set of real 850 bearings in there instead. And ah yes, the manual corrects me - the wheel bearings are 1050, not 850!

Hmm, still fairly tempted! Also, the kit bearings seem to be 8x5x2.5 - or 850 in other words! I would have thought 950 would be either thicker or the same.

DB01 Wide Operating Angle Universal Shaft

Has anyone tried these? (#54118 front, #54119 rear). Looks tempting, as I do like to pour on the power when getting out of corners, and I usually have full lock applied at that point!

Been there, customer service is crap with a capital C. True, the guy has been burgled since moving there, but I'd still prefer friendly staff :P

(Also, that's Als Hobbies, not Antics :)

Will do :)

Isn't there a problem with the regular plastic shock towers breaking, though?

Also, by 'alloy suspension holders' do you mean the aluminium suspension block (54039)?
