I would say just run it as is. The 2.0 chassis is nice but the 1.0 was a good handling buggy too. Just play with the setup and get it dialed in.

You could run a lipo also. Less fiddling and more practice. Plus they last hundreds of cycles longer than a NiMh pack when properly taken care of. I run a Trakpower 4900 2S in my XXXT MF2.
