I bought the gun on the link you sent, what a great item. So much easier. The Bitty liquid also needs thinning slightly and it was spot on. Two coats seems to be fine. Thanks again for the advice.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I can definitely concur with what Neallewis says about Hobbynox, especially with white. I should add I also have some Vallejo paints which seem to run a lot smoother....

Similar experience for me with Hobbynox and Vallejo. Generally just use it for backing though so thin it with Tamiya X-20A thinners and whack the pressure up. Unthinned I find it cloggs too easily...
