I have snapped a ball connector on the front hub carrier. The part number is: 19804205 (BB17 is the manual ref.)

Does anyone know if these are aluminium or steel?

1. Yes I have been experimenting with this, even had it so loose at one point it glazed the pads. It's now set so it slips for about 8-10 feet off the line....
