That rostrum is a sight for tired eyes - John (of Ardent), Phil (his brother) and I spent a LOT of sweat and elbow-grease painting that when it first went up. Was gutted when it got burnt down! 
I'm pretty sure my mum was convinced I was throwing away my future spending all that time up at the track instead of studying for my O-levels. I lived and breathed for Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings, and of course the occasional camping weekender - drove my mum crazy. They were good times. Thanks for sharing these!  |
