Default Junior Race Report - 15th December

Junior Race Report - 15th December

Well back to normal after the brilliant Christmas Special Event.

Time for this weeks race report and another fun packed night of racing.

In the D Final buggy this week we had 7 Juniors battling it out and unfortunately we seemed to have a couple of breakdowns. My normal answer for that is to blame dad and get yourself a new mechanic! Adam Smith dropped out first after 2 laps, unlucky Adam. Not long after that was Aaron Campbell on 3 laps, by how quick Aaron's dad was going this week we can see where dad's pit efforts were, sort it out Andy ;-) Harrison Coomer was next up in 6th place with 5 laps and again finished short of the finish, unlucky Harrison. In 5th place and a very good 6 laps we had the always smiling Blake Perei. Daniel Hurst was in 4th place with a superb 10 laps. Dillon Iddon drove great tonight on his first time back at the club for a very long time, settling straight back in with a great 11 laps. But no-one could catch Leon Ashton who was flying at the front and took the win with a fab 13 laps. Superb driving Leon and super well done for raising over £300 for your very good cause. Thanks to all those who donated this week and last.

Onto the C Final and a similar theme unfortunately with 2 drivers not quite making it to the final buzzer. In 8th place Connor Noblet with 5 laps. An unlucky Zak Smith finished in 7th place with 11 laps. Hollie Colbert finished in 5th place this week with a solid 12 laps. In 4th place with a great 14 laps was Ashton Perei, not that far behind Arron Redmond who unfortunately didn't seem to have one of his better weeks, better luck next time Arron. A flying Levi Akeroyd with a extremely good 16 laps finished in 2nd place. Awesome drive Levi.

In the B Final Ben Smith was the only junior. He qualified on pole, just missing out on the A-final. He was on course for the win until he struck a stranded car and lost two laps due to a ball joint, finally finishing 2nd.

In the A-Final Ethan Bradury was once again challenging the quickest drivers at the club. In a strong field, Ethan still held his own and finished an extremely respectable 5th.

Onto the GT12 class and Jacob Needham is another driver in need of a new mechanic and only managed one lap, unlucky Jacob. Alex Perry, however had a brilliant race and finished first with 17 laps, a clear lap ahead of 2nd place. Awesome driving Alex.

In the A Final Meghan Bradbury kept up her long run of A Final starts and finished and excellent 5th with 17 laps. This week Michael Laws had the better of his arch rival and finished an amazing 2nd place with 20 laps. A kind gesture by dad Ian to lend him his car for the final might backfire, as on that performance I don't think he will be giving the car back!

Well that's it for this week. From all the committee, we wish you all a truly great Christmas and hope to see many of you at the charity special on the 30th, its going to be great!
