Default 2015 Regionals

As posted by our regional rep on the EoE facebook page

East of England B.R.C.A 1/10 Off Road Regionals.

Driver Information for 2015

There will be five events in 2015, a drivers best three round scores will count towards their championship position. In the event of a tie a drivers highest individual score will be used, then second highest, third highest. Drop scores do not get used at all. If there is still a tie after the three scores then it will be a fight to the death at the last round between the tied drivers.

Scrutineering:- will need to be done BEFORE your heat starts. The measuring box and scales together with a list of B.R.C.A approved cells and motors will be in the scrutineering tent.

Cells and motors will need to be on the approved BRCA list.

Cells will need to be charged in a lipo safe charging bag.

Tyres will be Ballistic Buggy or Schumacher Mini Spike, or any make of Mini Pins. These must be on the rear axle of 4wd and the driven axle of 2wd.

Entry fees will be £10 for one class, and £15 for two classes, no refunds after entering a meeting.

Booking in will be via Central Booking and be a pre pay system. Booking in will CLOSE on the Thursday before a meeting at 8pm, entries can be made after this date direct with Colin Parsfield via e-mail ONLY on brca_eoe@hotmail.com but will be subject to a £3 increase. You will also NOT be seeded and therefore go in the bottom heat, you will also NOT be allowed a practice run in the morning.

Head referee for the series is Ben Hubbard, he can call on any willing drivers to help with refereeing a heat or two at a meeting as he sees necessary.

Meeting format.
All meetings –
Booking in at the meeting will close at 8.30am.
Practice will start at 8am in heat order to help race directors/time keepers and eliminate majority of booking in problems. Practice will be either 3 or 4 minutes depending on the number of heats (6 heats and there will be two 3 minute practice sessions).

Standard drivers briefing by Colin Parsfield and the meeting race director.
A couple of notes:
Suitable footware must be worn when marshalling, flip-flops or open toed sandals are not considered suitable.
No smoking or using mobile phones when marshalling.

Heat 1 will start approximately 40minutes after the completion of practice.

There will be 4 rounds of qualifying with a drivers best 2 scores to count, round by round qualifying.

The finals will start approximately 30 minutes after the last qualifying heat.
The finals will be 3 legs for all, with your best 2 to count.

It is hoped most meetings will finish between 16:00 and 17:00 (6,7,8 heats), 9 heats will finish around 18:00.
