The manual describes the nut fitting during the build, its only on like that as you are building it.
Even if it is put on 2mm or up against the drive cup the slipper is far too slack and will just slip constantly and eventually melt.

UN4racing12 has some excellent youtube videos on setting up and building a b44.2 including how to properly setup the slipper.
