Trackside on Saturday 5 October
With regard to work parties, my opinion is that we should focus on having decent help at the track once a month (the day before a race meeting is perfect) as a concerted effort would be better with a large group of enthusiastic racers rather than the odd one or two people helping out the diehard Saturday regulars.
So tomorrow (Saturday 5 October), if anyone is able to, please pop down and help us get the site ready for Sunday. It should only take a couple of hours and be done by lunchtime. I will be there from 10am as like many, have other commitments in the afternoon. The usual work will need doing like layomng a track, cleaning up the area, cutting grass, etc - nothing back breaking I can assure you!
I will bring some milk down for tea or coffee (and maybe biscuits if I remember to pick some up).
I know there are other local clubs running on Sunday but hope to see many of you for the first round. BTW, the weather looks to be pretty good - fingers crossed...
