Hi all,
Really looking forward to this. I ran Full spikes (4 x 20) spikes on my 4wd last year and minispikes on the 2wd. Both are permitted for use on the driven wheels as per the rules.
I think that 1/2 worn minispikes are probably the best tyre and everyone should have a set of those from the other rounds of the championship.
In 2wd I used a Schumacher old type stagger rib and they worked well enough.
The trick to 2wd is to drive like a granny and try and maintain as much grip as possible - if you push too hard the car will break way and spin out. So just take it easy and tip around following the racing line. Back off the slipper clutch and turn the punch and drag brakes down on your speed controller. Be really gentle on the throttle, don't jab at it. Remember that pumping the throttle will always be slower than a smooth action, no matter what the surface - so be slow and smooth.
Hope you all have a great day!!
