The National track will be on the grass bank as last year, but smaller in area than previous years.

We would love to have the National on our permanent track and maybe we will be allowed to in the future once we have all the modifications in place and tested regionals on it. The problem really is area. The triangle area we have is only 68% of the area of the Kidi track, and although kidi never have 100% utilisation we will struggle to get a comparable track length.

The new banked corner is further to the left than the old corner but we cannot go too far left else people have issues seeing the corner. We have pushed out the useable area to the top right of the track (when viewed from the rostrum) but only testing will show what lap times we can get.

We will go 100% astro turf when we can. We know that some people dont like all the tracks turning to astro, but we need to run as a CLUB with both electric and nitros in the English weather.. and grass is not up to it.

We may have to keep the tarmac for a while as it does not turn to mud when it rains, but we agree it is bad for tyres. There will be a paved area (smooth slabs) which is never as bad for tyres.
