I did it out of habit just like i compressed the slipper spring as well
, like you say the manual didn't mention it but then the manual didn't mention anything about setting the diff up
, for a newbie this must have been very confusing & not everyone has access to this great forum for advice, i have asked durango to include it in the online manual but have not heard back from them about it
