This is a bit up for debate. Although Carbon is lighter, the theory is generally that it generates more grip than an alloy chassis due to flex.

For example on carpet a TC may use an alloy chassis but on asphalt they use carbon.

I never used the K2 carbon chassis but on my KC I tend to run the carbon chassis everywhere. I also run it on carpet as it's more reactive and livens the car up.
