I much prefer mine with the cut bladders, can't explain why but it gave me more grip, even on carpet! I know this because I cut them in between heats. I kept the oil the same (45 front, 35 rear) The rebound, like you say, is much more reliable when the bladders are cut.
Can't say about the +8 or DS spec because haven't tried either yet
