Default Speed Passion Problems

Hiya chaps,
Was running my b4.1 for about 4mins during a lunch break at my local track everything was running fine, once finishing using the car I put it on the bench still plugged in and whilst chatting to a mate smoke started pouring out the back of the motor I quickly unplugged the battery and the positive wire was red hot as well as the motor and speedo.
Now the motor will not work it's burnt out for definite but just wondering what caused this?
Also I plugged the motor into someone else's car to make sure it wasn't the speedo and now his speedo will not work at all!
Any ideas??
Many thanks Callum
P.S it's a Reventon Pro

sounds like you had a short
are all the wires/ conectors in good condition
did the speedo get wet
check for debris /solder between the posts on the speedo

this would only happen if sumthing shorted or if part of your system is or was in poor condition

i run a reventon pro and love it not missed a beet yet

Wandering could ur handset of been trimmed forward/not returning to centre caused load ? Or was it just geared wrong and was cooked while running , it very rare for any esc to pop when left on alone

1) never ever EVER leave a battery plugged in (while chatting or otherwise)
2) without a thorough investigation on the user's part, checking to see if there's dirt or debris or something else that's caused the motor to bind up, it's really hard for anyone here (that doesn't have a crystal ball) to diagnose what's wrong.
3) considering that in another thread you've allowed the wheels to bind up the rear hubs to the point the car is only driving one wheel, you could have easily caused terminal damage to the motor > your thread > http://www.oople.com/forums/showthre...669#post771669
