Lubricating New Bearings?
Hi All,
I have just ordered a complete set of Avid bearings for my L1. Should I re grease / oil them all before fitting? Wash them out and re grease / oil? Just fit them as they come? Interested to hear what you all do with new bearings. Thanks |

Hi,
They are ready to use out of the packet. If you want to keep on top of maintenance. After a few weeks running, longer if running in a clean environment, indoors etc. take the out and clean them off and re-oil. Cleaning can be spray out or soak in motor spray / degreaser. Check that each bearing is free running and smooth before re-assembly. MiCk B. :-)
