Club AGM...Saturday 6th December 2014
Just a message to let ALL OUR CLUB MEMBERS KNOW your club AGM will be taking place as follows:
Saturday 6th December 2014 1pm Clubhouse/canteen@Mendip RC Raceway To give you a rough idea as to the things we'll be discussing, the agenda will be based around the following: 1) Committee reports on the year 2014 (including chairmans summary, Secretary's summary & financial accounts for the year) 2) To elect the committee for 2015 3) To discuss plans for 2015 (including calender/race meetings/maintenance/site improvements/other club improvements) 4) Any other business (open floor for anyone to mention anything they'd like!) We've had a fantastic year this year, with many positives being drawn from the new committee's first year overseeing things, but Mendip RC Raceway is nothing without it's members...and the club is run through the committee BUT BY YOU via this system. The committee always tries to act with your best interests at heart, but unless we know what your best interests are, we cannot act on them! Attendance at the AGM gives all the members the opportunity to hear how things are being handled and planned currently, to voice your opinion, allow constructive discussion about the clubs future and the way things are run and handled day to day, and most importantly it gives you a casting vote on all the decisions being made, creating and steering the committee in the right direction. If you have any specific proposals or ideas for anything that you'd like including on the agenda, then please could you send a short summary to this email address so we can plan to include it. We're always looking for new recruits for the committee too...so if have the time and energy to volunteer and help the club at it's roots with day to day tasks then let us know...there are a few tasks that each take a bit of time to do, and many hands make light work as they say! We're particularly keen in finding people interested in the onroad side of things...so people who are happy to help run race meetings and promote those particular classes, both Electric and IC. That's all until the day...we hope to see as many of the club members as possible!
