We have a long straight and I need a bit of stink for that plus a double tripple that I can't quite make the tripple
I have a vampire 8.5T, next step is a 5.5...

Just read the review of the V3 on area52.cc as my 3.1 will arrive tomorrow. They were quite happy running their 8.5 in an SCT on carpet with the preset 10.5 turn stock programme, but recommended dropping 2 teeth of the pinion and watching temperature. Worth a try?
