Thumbs up Truck Revival!

I am pushing for a revival of stadium trucks in the UK. They are such a fantastic class to race, cost effective, tough, and of course fast. Many people think that they died out because of a lack of manufacturers, but now there is more choice than ever. Losi, Durango, hpi, FTX, Team C, Associated and LRP all make stadium trucks, so I think all clubs should think about running them not just as a support but as proper series. So come on, the more support the better

There is a Stadium Truck National series running with UK SCT Nationals.

all it needs is drivers to turn up!

There used to be a successful truck class at Southport, even had a heat of them indoors at the larger meetings. The problem is that they need constant support to run and all too often racers would rather run a buggy than a truck. Personally I am the opposite and would rather run a truck all the time.
It has always been the policy of Southport to run a heat if enough turn up, the trick is getting enough to turn up.

I know, back in 08 trucks were going strong at southport, 2 years later gone. I've posted on southport to try and get some interest. Fingers crossed!

I haven't raced at Southport for a few years but will be back this summer. If there is a truck class you can count on two supporters straight away. Myself and Russ were truck regulars in years gone by and it was the first class we asked about when we knew we were coming back. I reckon Mark and Ant Steel would be up for it again too as they were regular truckers. Have to see how many still have their trucks and how many have sold them on.

This is a class that's always intrigued me.

Whilst there's no chance of running them up here in Scotland I'd certainly like to try it down south if a series came about.

It'd be great if they ran a class for them at the oOple Invernational.....
