Dylon
What happened!
Ok its been 25 years since I last tried this but I used to boil up some fibre glass and add a tub of black Dylon and the GRP used to come out as black as black. Tried it tonight and it didn't touch the GRP. After half an hour simmering it came out the same colour green as it went in! I only assume the Dylon formula has changed over the years and gone all health and safety and not work as well? Anybody else had any luck colouring grp recently? |

Got it. Multi-Purpose Dylon. That's like the old ones I used to get. Little tins which you stab with a pair of scissors. Thanks Danny.
Pank, Thanks though but looked at Rit Dye and it says: IMPORTANT There are fabrics that will not accept dye such as: Fabrics with 50% or more polyester content 100% acrylic fiberglass So stayed with Dylon. Cheers Guys. |
