I'm very interested in seeing what JQ come up with for an electric 1/10th buggy. I read a column he wrote some time ago about what he felt was wrong with electric buggies, and his main criticism was that they didnt have a centre differential like their 1/8th counterparts.
Considering that run time and power isnt an issue anymore, I'd be very keen on a 1/10th buggy that had a third diff like many of them had way back in the beginning. The new X-ray buggy promised so much but in the end it's been rather predictable. JQ could stir things up properly

I'm assuming these are blue groove conditions? I haven't seen a 4WD go this quick around my club's track
Anyway, I like it that brands are taking interest in the buggy scene, and it would be good to see what JQ can do with 1/10... And with slightly upscaled cars using centre diffs (DESC410, 1/8) it would be interesting to see if JQ is right that it is (one of the things) that leaves to be desired on 1/10s. |
