Default HINCKLEY CLUBS 2012 OUTDOOR BUGGY SEASON

Hi all,

Last Saturday(26th May), we saw ROUND 4 of Hinckleys 2012 OffRoad Club Championships.

As the Weather was pretty Fanatstic, it gave HRCCC's Highest Turnout of Drivers for this Season so far, Producing 6 Full Heats of Clean Competitive Racing that was very close! As well as the usual Regular Guys Racing, it was also great to see a few New Faces there.......including a few good Drivers from the Mid-East Region!

With the amount of people there, this allowed us to draw all of the Equipment out of the Container very Quickly & Build a Large scale Track, incorporating a Selection of Sweeping corners, Technical Chicanes & a decent sized Back Straight to allow for some great Over-Taking! The Layout also included an Assortment of Jumps, a Standard Table-Top & Corner Table-Top Ramp........to make things evenmore intresting!

Race Control was Run nice & Smoothly allday, with the help from Dale Knight, Jon Seals & Ben Cosgrove - thanks again to you Guys for keeping everything sweet!

Everyone involved was also looked after on the Refreshment side of things, in the aid of Keith Marson with his BBQ & Cool looking Fridge!

The Meeting itself was Run in the usual 'Outdoor OffRoad Regional' Form of 4 Qualifying Rounds with your Best 2 to Count, to keep everyone in the true spirit of Buggy Racing........then Followed by Finals, all of which were amazing to Watch!

It was an awesome Days Racing for everyone!

Would just like to say thanks to everyone at the Hinckley club for a brilliant day out, and anyone who is thinking of making the trip there to do it!

Its a friendly club who made a great effort with the track and even a quality...well priced BBQ!

Well done to Dale....beating me on the last corner (nice move!) is hard to take but it was a good clean race, thanks

Hi all,
Yesterday(Saturday 23rd June), we saw ROUND 6 of Hinckleys 2012 Club Championships.
Eventhough all the Weather Forecasts had Predicted pretty Heavy Rain Showers for virtually the whole Weekend, Hinckley was fortunate again to miss all this, giving our Club another great days Racing in some Dry Conditions!
Due to the Rainfall we had earlier on in the week, the Groudsman was unable to Mow the Grass, but thanks to Dedicated HRCCC Members Darren Lee & Jon Seals, they managed to get down to the Track at 9.30am on the Saturday & spend a couple of hours Cutting the Grass nice & short, as well as clearing all the Grass Cuttings up........thanks Guys! 8)
The Numbers of Racers were good again, so there were plenty of Bodies to help draw out all the Hoses, Ramps & other Features, to get the Track Setup as quickly as possible & ready for the Open Practice Session!
Mr Seals was running Race Control again, with the Help from his New Trainee Tom Lord, to keep everything going Smoothly through the course of the Meeting.........Top job Guys!
The Track itself had a decent sized Main Straight & some very Fast Flowing corners, to allow for some great Overtaking opportunities, but also had a very Technical Middle section, incorporating a variety of tight twisty Chicanes, one of which, had a really Tricky Jump at an angle! As well as a Selection of other different sized Jumps, we had the usual Main Table Top, Corner Table Top Ramp & HRCCC's unique Be-Spoke 'Rumble Strip'!
The Racing was extremely Competitive & very Clean allday........it was also great to see a Number of New Faces Attending the Hinckley Club, that are well known from the 'Mid-West' Region!

Hi all,
Yesterday(Saturday 21st July), we saw ROUND 7 of Hinckleys 2012 OffRoad Club Championships.
After the terrible Weather Conditions Cancelling the Last 2 Scheduled Club Meetings & Hinckleys 2WD Mid-West Regional Round, it was so pleasing for everyone to see some Fantastic Dry Hot Sunny Weather..........virtually for the first time this Outdoor Season!
On Arrival of the Majority of Racers, our Local Dedicated HRCCC Members Keith/Alan Marson, Jon Seals & Mark Stevens, were already Hard at work, Cutting the Grass & Setting up Race Control, ready for a Trouble-Free Days Racing! Thanks again for making all this happen! 8)
With a Decent Turnout of Drivers, Creating 5 Heats worth of very Competitive Close Racing, it made it very easy for everyone to pull together with Master Track Builder Andy Slingsby & Help Assemble the Track very Quickly, ready for the 'Open Practice' Session.
The Track Layout itself, was of a Large Scale(probably the Largest we've had this Year!), incorporating a Variety of Sweeping corners & Chicanes, that if hooked up right, alot of time could be gained! The Long Main Straight at the Rear of the Circuit, was Wider than usual, allowing for some good clean Overtaking Manovres to take place during the Meeting! The rest of the Track included an array of Jumps, a Straight Table Top, BeSpoke Rumble Strip & Corner Table Top, to mix things up alittle!
The Racing Standard was very good in all the Qualifying Heats throughout the Day & all Finals were also very Clean & Tidy, with Drivers showing alot of Courtesy for one another.............something that our Club has always been proud of!

HERE ARE SOME PHOTOS FROM YESTERDAYS(21ST JULY) CLUB MEETING :

Everyone Attending the Meeting were also looked after during the course of the day, with Keiths Special BBQ & Refreshment Fridge! Thanks for doing such an awesome job!

See you all at the Next Club Meeting : SATURDAY 28TH JULY

Thanks guys, had a good day on my first visit to the Hinckley grass this season... was pleased with my 4th Qual position with my old Losi - think I finished 5th in the final after ending up last after a first corner 'inccident'!

Sorry I wizzed off & not helping pack the track away - I had to dash back home (Wellingborough, N'Hants.) for a family birthday party
