2 for each class.
2wd buggy - 2 shorties, tamiya mini - 2 nimh packs tamiy tt-02 - 2 full sized 2s' My cousin and fellow racer only uses one pack for each class, but he's not super competitive or has much mechanical sympathy so tends to charge his packs in the car between heats/finals. I prefer to give the batteries a chance to cool down, in the mini race meets his nimh cells are usually close to untouchable with the heat of constant charging/discharging, but its impossible to get him to see the benifit of having another pack as he's a consistent top 3 finisher, so maybe he knows something i don't |

bit subjective this, down to driver speed and motor, i run 4 shorties for two cars (dad and me) but i hammer them in both my 2wd/4wd so they take ages to charge but my dad is slower driver and could easily do 2 races without charging where i can only do 7-8 minutes on a charge.
just ordered another battery so will have 5 between two of us |

I've gone a bit crazy, have 6 lipos. Mainly because I couldn't be arsed with a leisure battery for regionals, charge em night before and I'm good for the day.
Club nights only use a battery once and put away for next week. Batteries look in great nick too for 2yr old.
