A further question on the Shumacher tyres,
Yellow & Blue are the same 'type' of rubber, yellow being a softer compound. Green is a different 'type' of rubber. I was told this about 10 years ago and have never had a reason to doubt it, is it correct?

AFAIK yes. Do the sniff test if you like Stu, yellows and blues smell of rubber, greens smell nothing similar. (er.... so i been told yer honour)

yellows are quite a firm feeling rubber like sch blues, and they rebound to shape. sch greens are a weird soft rubber that squishes and doesn't rebound to shape very well. greens actually feel softer to manipulate but the compound is harder than yellows.
