Cougar KC gear diff case screws
Hi,
I'm in the process of converting my KD to KC spec & I'm stuck with a gear diff that won't seal. Despite using a good quality hex head & making sure the internal gears were seated properly, the hexes in the screws have rounded off! Very annoying. I can't tighten them to seal it up now. I really don't fancy buying a whole new diff, but I can't see a way of getting the screws out (made of cheese?!). Did anyone else have this issue? |

The screws are a little stiff to thread, but I haven't had any trouble with the heads stripping.
Here's a good guide to building the gear diff, a little black grease helps a lot to prevent any leakage: http://site.petitrc.com/setup/schuma...GearDiffBuild/ |

Never stripped the screws, were you using a good quality driver?

An EDS bit. Very snug in the hex - but as soon as torque was applied the hex itself began to round off.
