Front shock shafts
Are there any aftermarket shock shafts on the market that are stronger than the original kit items?
Kit shafts are snapping very easily on my K1 Aero

Never really had a problem with them, broke a few but after silly crashes

Only ever broken one and that was in an argument with a 20kg corner weight.
Generally I think they are pretty strong, so don't know of any other options. |

I have replaced the ball cup with the eyelet and ball from the KF2 front end and haven't broken a shaft since.
For best results you need a 6mm outer diameter (or smaller) 1-3mm thick washer between the ball and the wishbone, you need to take the total spacing up to 3mm to put the shock at the right mounting angle. Hope that helps. |
