mad rat or xpro
i am looking to get my first ever new rc car
after seeing how a macnum handles our track i am thinking of going ansmann i already own a converted lightning 10b so have a ezrun 60a esc and 5.5t motor is the x pro worth the extra doller or should i upgrade as things break? thanks mike

the only real upgrades the madrat needs are alloy shocks and a bearing set.
a pair of second hand B4 shocks are ideal and should work out a bit cheaper than the X-pro. Just depends on your budget really. If you can afford an X-pro then get one as it has a few extra upgrades on it that make it a better all round package.

With JE Spares selling the X Pro for £80, it's a great deal over the Mad Rat - bearings, turnbuckles, motor plate and shocks add up to far more than £30 of upgrades.

Yep, for £80 Get the xpro, as said, bearings are £10, shocks around £30 then turnbuckles another £15-£20...
Plus you can choose your own paint scheme

Yes the X pro it's better. And you can find setup with the good shocks.

thanks for the advice the x pro looks like the one.
as our track is outdoors my electric is going into storage for the winter whilst i race my 1/8th nitro is there a new version of the x pro expected soon i should hold out for? thanks again mike

For the moment no new car.
One middle motor will be arrived but we don't know when. And I'm sur it's the best for indoor race. The X pro will arrived with more option and the name will be X2 TE (Team Edition). This will be to by Ansmann but no news, and i don't see her in UK , germany or france. The X pro is a really good car
