2022 Mid East Regional Dates
Mid East Regional Off-road Series Dates and Technical Rules from the Recent AGM:
Saturday 30th April BMR 2wd Round 1 Sunday 1st May BMR 4wd Round 1 Sunday 15th May BMR 4wd Round 2 Sunday 29th May Manor RC 2wd Round 2 Saturday 18th June WBMCC 4wd Round 3 Sunday 19th June WBMCC 2wd Round 3 Saturday 30th July RHR 2wd Round 4 Sunday 31st July RHR 4wd Round 4 Sunday 14th August A1 Raceway 2wd Round 5 Sunday 11th September A1 Raceway 4wd Round 5 Technical Rules: The regional series is for 1/10th scale electric RC cars with a maximum width of 250mm and a minimum weight of 1474g (2wd) and 1588g (4wd). These measurements will be checked at the events via random scrutineering. Due to uncertainty over supply for the entire season, it has been decided to restrict the rear axle tyre to the Schumacher Mezzo in Blue (U6887), Yellow (U6885 or U6891 pre-glued) or Silver (U6886) compound. The front axle on both 2wd and 4wd is free. Points will be awarded based on final position with the winner of the A final receiving 120 points descending to the last placed finisher of the bottom final. 1 point will be awarded for TQ. 3 out of 5 rounds to count for the championship. Trophy medals will be awarded to the top 3 Under 13s and Under 16s at each round with end of season championship trophies being awarded to the top 10 overall, top 3 Under 13s, top 3 Under 16s and top F1, F2, F3, F4 and F5. F grades of the 2023 season will be awarded from this regional series as per BRCA rules. Race Fees and Booking In: Race fees remain at £12 for adults, with Under 16s racing for free. A new system for booking in and paying is being looked into, more details as and when it is available. £2 from each race fee will go to the region with the remainder going to the hosting club. Race fees will be non-refundable less than 7 days prior to the event, (only under exceptional circumstances) as it is important that racers support the clubs that are hosting the series. AOB The main topic of discussion was Covid-19 and its potential effect on the series. The region will be led by the guidance offered from the BRCA. Therefore, rules on face masks, social distancing etc. may change through the season but this will be briefed out prior to each event in the race pack sent to all booked in drivers. |
