I'm still confused by this, is the worlds spec and factory spec the same car, or two different ones??

The World spec is very different, lots changed on it, including chassis, top plate, many alloy parts (whole rear end), steering, shell, also where the turnbuckles attach is now completely different. World Spec has substantially changed from the BX and Factory BX, it's pretty much a different car (hence the price of the upgrade kit) and I like it. Nice to be different as well, however means there is very little help with ‘setting it up’, pretty sure I was running the only BX Worlds at the last national event, real shame as it’s a lovely bit of kit, I 'hear' its not as well suited to UK style of tracks but for someone of my ability I don't notice and I think its a great car. Thanks for the info, does anywhere except Champ have them do you know?
And is the worlds available as a stand alone kit? Cheers, Dave Not really worried about suitability, I keep seeing Stan do so well with his XXX4 that I think it has to be way more down to the fingers anyway!! |

Hi Dave, the world spec is available as both an 'upgrade kit' (if you have a standard BX already) or as a complete car 'BX worlds' spec kit.
I only know you can get them from RC_Champ, not sure if anyone else is selling them. |

Cheers, what are parts supplies like for the car by the way, and is there an English manual?

Only dealt with them once Vinny, not the cheapest as they charge credit card/paypal fee's and the shipping is more than other places I've used. Also don't muck them about, I believe if you cancel an order with them then they won't let you order anything from them in the future!
HOWEVER, they were friendly, easy to deal with, very helpful, and delivery was really quick, so as long as you bear in mind the above I'd recommend them! Dave |

Just looked, there's a place on Ebay with 5 of them, £320 plus £30ish shipping!

Yep, but I have loads of kits of buggy's and tourers lying round, if I sell loads of stuff tempted to try one of these too! Try everything and keep the ones I like!!
With Yok though, what are spares like to get hold of? Any funnies with it, like needing different wheels to anything else etc? |

I don’t understand that ebay seller, why put loads of images of the old BX on the page, seems very misleading and confusing?
The image on the box is correct but all the other images are showing the standard BX, I would ask the question ‘which car am I getting’ before you order, make sure you’re getting the right car. This is what it should look like, but note I've added the blue alloy rear wing mounts and Ti screws. http://www.oople.com/forums/showpost.php?p=92411&postcount=27 I order my 'world spec' spares from ChampRC, some parts are the same as the standard BX which helps as you can still get these in the UK. The rear Yokomo wheels use a hex but you can take the hex off and use standard wheels. Re: English manual... not found one yet, but I have the old BX manual in english and its pretty easy to work out. |
