BTW, this is on Ebay right now: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tamiya-1-1...-/120984789164 I thought it might be your style But probably too narrow, right? Is your car 200mm? |

Nice one John. I've now got the speedo turned down, Tamiya Rally Blocks mounted, Subaru Impreza shell (Focus is 190mm and tyres were rubbing...), shocks rebuilt and loads of other tweaks so hopefully it'll run better this week.
Interested to see how you get on with the Schumacher Yellows. Way too much for my Yok.

I've attempted to reduce the grip rolling by adding some ballast inside the chassis at the bottom under the ESC placement. And to reduce the steering a bit (was running it at 40% and it was still twitchy!) I've added a stiff stabilizer bar at the front... I don't have springs for it, but I did have a sway bar laying around. My thinking is that it will stiffen the front enough...
I'm probably wrong... Also the Traxxas is fixed Will attempt to run two classes. |

another possible idea would be to reverse the chassis (motor at front not back), like they do to drift cars then this would allow the car to break traction easier.

Majority of it is in the tyres though - just bung some Tamiya Rally Blocks on and it'll make a big difference. Then you can fine-tune it via suspension set-up. Mine was a 'mare until I put the Tamiya blocks on it.

I agree with you, putting Tamiya rally blocks is considerably simpler than reversing the chassis. Because I really cannot see how on earth I'd mount the steering system with the motor at the front.
The issue is too much grip right now, it actually runs really nicely on car parks. |

Yeah mine ran really nicely outside with the Schumacher Yellows on, but inside...
