Default Got the chassis, but (

Got the chassis, but found yet more damage, the 4mm turnbuckles are bent x 3, they seem to be made from the softest metal I have ever come across, will order tomorrow should get here for Fri, Sat at the latest, are these specific to the pred or can I get them from Otley Model sports, btw was toying with the idea of buying a B44 as a spare car and using same electrics between both, how do u guys rate the b44 ?

Oh dear thats not good to hear you have bent 3. I think team xtreme have got some stronger ones made up now. So you wont have to use the ones made out of cheese
I would rate the B44 high up. Not that i have driven one. But it has just won the first national of the year so it cant be bad

Anytime. Im here to help if you need to know anything. Team xtreme drivers are the people to talk to about the turnbuckles that are bent though. What did you hit to break a chassis?

Hiya Zedman,

The turnbuckles are quite weak, and most of us have bent them. I myself have only bent one.

Xtreme now have some stronger ones instock, made by Lunsford. See here: http://www.oople.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10122

It must have been an xtremely hard shunt to break all those parts!

I'll see you on saturday night,
Andy

Default Thanks

Car was rebulit very carefully but I had massive toe out on the front wheels, I couldnt counter this no matter what adjustments i made and the front drive shafts kept popping out, went to the York race meet anyway.

Thanks to Ben for spotting the problem, I think it was Andy who figured out I had been sent X10 upper wishbones in error and offered to lend the correct X11 parts

Thanks for geting me back in the running )
