Just wondering how the internals look after a 5 min race.
May be worth getting them covered someway? just to keep things clean.

Hi Tel, I have run the RTR SC10 review model for RRCI now and It runs very sweetly (shims in) lol
30 mph on a reedy li-po out of the box. I ran it on a BMX track with lots of dust dirt and gravel. It ran very well with no damage to the guts at all and I ran it hard with over 2 hours of jumping etc I've now run both the SC10 and the Slash and have to say the SC10 run's rings around the Slash it terms of handling.

When I review the T4 some time ago I used a B4 buggy body cut to fit the longer T4 chassis, this work very well in stopping sh## getting into the guts. I'm looking to do the same with the SC10 but as the wheelbase is longer It may not work as well.
I'll post some photos as soon as I can get it sorted out

Been taking pics of mine for the RRCi Kit version today, and I must say that I'm tempted to do the wheels black. They look sooooo much better.

I thought Dez was doing the RTR Ian?
Did he have to give that one away too?

The Sc10 is a very nice truck and I just found a BMX track about 10 min's from my house . I've only lived in the house for 10 years!! god I've missed out lol.

I want to go racing with the SC10 at some point when I get time.

it could be lots of fun!!

Are you painting at the moment? if so I may be after your help at some point ;-)

i've almost finished the build

it's the first time I've built an associated kit from scratch. they appear to have thought of everything - very impressive stuff indeed. the transmission is a piece of design art - utterly simple and neat. I'm loving the way everything comes together with minimal slop.

got a couple of niggles though:

1. the servo saver spring bolt - getting it to thread and sit square was a total pain in the ass! I've probably overtightened it - hopefully it won't pop when it's asked to do some servo saving.

2. shock caps - it was difficult to get the threads aligned with the plastic caps & shock bodies. or it could just have been that the apprentice was on the telly (that kate is very distracting).

looking forward to running it now

Ae shock caps can be like that till they've been threaded a few times, but then again Kate can indeed be distracting! I think you should check the car over before racing it, LOL

It seems most of your problems revolve around not being able to screw:

a. Servo saver insert in

b. Shock Caps on

c. Kate off of the apprentice

1. Agree, I had to faff about with mine 3 times before I was happy with the steering assembly.

2. Double agree, nice teeth too...I said teeth!

Only 3 times! Blimey, it must have taken me nearly half an hour to get it seated properly.

Shock caps went on fine though once I'd got the nack of it.

finally finished the build today - and took it for it's first run in the tarmac lane behind my house.

one word - hilarious!

watching it sqwat on accelleration and bob around under braking is a hoot. I can't wait to race this thing
