I have a NIP set of LA-26 arms however these are the early type with the extra webbing. Are these exclusive to the original ZX and are they better/worse than the other style?

I found the webbed zx wishbones to be stronger, mind you breaking the zxr ones is almost impossible, but i have broken one.

I can check again but I rebuilt it, carefully checking step by step if everything was fitted like on the manual. Every shim, e-clip, pulley and bearing is there, fitted...
The One way works, but I didn't grease or oil it. Maybe I didn't fit the upper tray properly? The rubbing is very slight anyway and there is no sign of wear on the belt. :-) So the reverse one way isn't recommended? ok |

Ive had the same one way issue as you and one issue was the e clip came lose and the other was due to the bearing i used instead of the thrust bearing between the pulleys. Sometimes you need to improvise as i find having zero slop left and right on the layshaft (almost zero) saves the belt. I used to use a hyper clutch with a bearing in the early 90's in between the pulleys and took the e clip out and made a difference but using the mk1 layshaft and zx i found the thrust bearing better. The one way when the layshafts fitted correctly when tightend takes the one way option away. I prefered a lock nut rather than the kyosho allen key nut as the thread lock screwed on backwards did a better job. Im now intreagued as the only other option is the bearing surrounding the oneway or hub has collapsed giving far too much slop.

Thanks for the tips guys!
About the sway bars, I believe you're talking about the LAW-2. I fancy them but can't find some anywhere. I guess I could make custom ones but I really would like the LAW-2... Anyway, car is cleaned and back on shelf. |

Im tempted to buy a set of the 14mm hexes Xray are making for their new 4wd buggy and also a set of their wheels and see if they work out the same width overall as the Annsman wheels I am currently using. The 4wd Xray wheels look rather nice.
