The Tamiya plastic is pretty dam tough for the wishbones, the only issue on the TRF tourers has been the bearings (9x5mm).

TRF are probably BIG business with places like Stella and rainbow10, if Hobby Co made their spares a reasonable price, then you would buy the TRF shocks in the UK for £40 rather than for £35 in Asia. As for the global pricing thing, it is suppose to be a global release and global pricing on kits, not spares.

Is there any news on this, I believe that ramdrive was pushing to get something sorted!! Would be the bomb if they did sort a UK team out so that we could have some proper support.

As far as spares go there is now 3 501's in my local club and those racers got together and bought a complete set of spares between them so that if any one of them breaks something they will have a replacement.

My local model shop also has put an order in to have some of the spares in stock as they cant just order on demand due to the 6-8week waiting time from the hobby co.

it is a 6-8 week back order due to Hobby Co just doesn't support TRF parts, idiots, the 501X I think, could be the big car this summer, if Hobby Co pulled their fingers out of their collective butts, but they are just interested in static models and basher cars.

Apparently they are getting 10 more TRF501's in soon, but still no spares backup... Are they expecting us to just build them and stick them on a shelf??? Also, if they were serious about people racing the 501 and other TRF cars, instead of putting special orders on a back order system which takes 2 months to turn parts around, why not just phone Tamiya and get the spares air freighted over? Even one box a week would be better than nothing. I was tempted to ask my guv (who has been to the factory in Japan and met Mr Tamiya himself!) to go direct to Tamiya and set up an account for importing TRF cars and spares, I'm sure he'd make a killing off all the racers who are desperate for parts backup, but I don't think the hobby co would be very happy about it.
