Does look good JC

Been working on a few things and you could say with back to back wins at EPR and Stotfold in the wet i am a happy chap

Rear hub carriers shaved down to run a super short rear wheelbase. This is really helping in the slippy winter conditions, do need to run a softer rear spring to make it as good over the bumps

X6 shell replaced with Losi CR, to many people thought i was running an X6

I have mounted the shell on the top of the gear box to raise it, cut down xxxs battery post's to mount the shell.

This means as the shell is raised you have no issues with the motor hitting the shell now

Do NOT cut the shell along the cut out lines on the sides on the shell, cut the shell from the lowest possible point or it will not reach all the way down the sides of the chassis.

"If Carlsberg made RC cars they would probably be a CR2 "

Jonathan, whats the story with the AL chassis?

more flex, more affordable conversion?

this, along with the idler mod, may get me back into another cr2

You will have to wait some more as Jonathan is still testing, Danny McGee seemed to like the chassis though. And for the self-made motor plate: cooling could be an issue when using cf instead of aluminium, so it is hard to tell whether it will cause the motor to overheat or not as it is winter

Ran the car today at Broxtowe and all went well, changed the rear shock oil to 40w but if i was to have the day again i would just go from an orange piston to a red poiston and stick with 30w, other than that i ran the car as i would out doors and it went well enough to TQ and win.

The hydra Drive on Carpet was also ok

Technically the extra idler gear is neutral and doesn't change the FDR. X6s have the same ratio as B4s too.

Default AC Motor Plate

Testing the AC Carbon Fiber motor plate on the CR2 at Southport today. Meshing is absolutely perfect and you can get to the motor screws without having to take the idle gear off. There is also no issue with the whish bones hitting the idle gear.

Must admit the CR2 gets better and better every time I run it.
