I dont really see any point for me using big bores, as ive got a great setup but as Rob said shouldnt be too hard to fit if its what you want to do.

Ok, after two or three years of thinking this I finally got around to installing a fan next to the motor endbell. I may have a rethink on my gearbox carbon fibre design later on to see if I can squeeze one into the gearbox itself so blasting air directly at the motor. Wiring sits under the cf centre lipo plate so all neatly done.

Kyosho ZX-RR
HI guys,
Won this one a local auction site here in New Zealand. Needs new OT-16 , LA-30, new body/undertray/wing and battery holders. Good smooth tranny/hyperclutch. Sadly it only had two front Ultimate/equalizers' shocks but I have four gold shocks (rear shown). Keep or sell?

Fans the 25mm x 25mm. No holes too small on the mount, but as ive got a cf gearbox have a bit more room to play with, just need to see if theres enough to fit behind the motor. Mind you think youve given me, just maybe redesigning the mount by removing the centre struts and narrowing the legs and as you said adding a couple of holes plus designing a mount as well could work and may be able to fit at the top of the mount.

Well done. Zxrr but would also advise getting alloy pivot blocks if your going to run it.

Looks great, will look at getting the Shapeways OTA-16 (NIX) and alloy pivot blocks.

James, what's the part number of the Ultima rear hubs you were using, I bought a pair of UM519-2 and they don't work, the driveshaft sits too low and too far out

Think its SP107, also alloy varient by Kyosho is SPW123 but is expensive and also know another company makes them in alloy but forgotten who. If I said UM519 then apologies :-(

Thanks. Alcyon said he will be offering a 3D printed version of the LA-32 front gearbox housing. Maybe you could work with him to design something similar to the alloy one you have using CF side plates and a nylon centre piece

Mmm not a bad idea. Tbh the alloy one falls apart and isnt suitable for racing so could be done, possibly would like to be able to remove the diff from the side after taking the tower off but needs to be easy and simple to do. Also needs a couple of bearing holders if using cf plates.

Dan,
Sorry mate, been through my stuff and have one on its own as I broke the other plus the alloy versions which I used mainly and from Kenon I think but not much else. I have another place to check out on Thursday so will keep looking.
