I'm not going to bite, but there's no way I wouldve paid those prices for any of that kit.
Anyway, I just think £8 would put a lot of people off who are starting up. I couldnt see me racing every week for £8, if its only £10 for annual membership and you can go on a night for free. Just thought there would be room for a bit of a price drop, but obviously most people are willing to pay that. If you can go 24 / 7 for free, but £8 just for to be timed, it doesnt make sense? Any way, this is something for an AGM at another time when we're all members.

To me the paying for racing is without doubt the cheapest part of racing. The second biggest cost is the buying of the equipment, wouldnt like to add how much ive spent over the past 12 months but i'd bet its huge. The biggest cost is time away from my girls.
Looking at it this way an extra £3 to race is tiny, however it is completely optional as no-one is forcing anyone to race outdoors it just seems a good oppurtunity. If one of the electric clubs in the region had to rent some land, build and run a track do you think they could physically do it for £3 per man race day fees? They cant thats why there hasnt been a 10th scale teack in the NE since Durhams track at Cocken lodge closed down 10 years ago. Maybe as I come from 1/8th scale racing where the costs are bigger and all race meetings are £10+ £7 or £8 doesnt seem rude at all. The Neo buggy this year is £100 for an entry, Novarossi GP £60, Emma event was £60 for instance. It would be great to have a track that was only £3 to race on, i wouldnt complain at all as it would give me more money to buy mince pies and lager but unfortunately its an impossibility.......... I know it's more than we usually pay but if we want 10th off road buggys to gain in popularity again and take over them touring cars we need a outdoor track ! This is an our chance ! New starters can have a choice of cheap indoor or not so cheap outdoor it's better to have the option ?

with regards to the cost,
the rent for the track is 430 pounds per month yes thats over 107 pounds per week the going rate for nitro is 10 quid for clubs that dont pay anywhere near as much for the rent and jarrow is 4 pounds form 7 till about 9.30pm so 8 quid for a full day out racing is nothing if we only charged 3 pounds then we would never cover the cost davey |

So the first 10th scale electric meeting will be on march 1st ?
Track looks massive ! It will be very cold in march LOL fingerless gloves I think ! I wonder if the advantage that the 4wd have indoors will be cut ? With the longer straight sections the 2wd can take advantage of there speed ?
