So you think you can beat a 1250kg Porsche with 360hp with your Punto?

haha it seems that way.

I just dont get the layout. A true sportscar should be midengined, not mile down the road trying to keep up with you. And for me its not hardcore enough. Too many creature comforts making it too fat for its own good :-)

Also, is it not time for a change in style?!?! That design has been around since the romans ruled the world.

Mid engined super light car is the future!!

They are to classy, beautifull and reliable for me.

And I don't have the money to buy 1

That's why the new GT3 / GT3 RS / GT2 beats everything on the track?

I was fortunate enough to have a blast in a 996 GT3 around Donnington Park. The achievable cornering speed was beyond belief and the brakes were so savage that it was impossible to breath in due to the belts pushing into your chest. Ive always liked Porsche but that got me hooked. For now i can only dream, but one day for sure !

There is a reason people tell you that the only supercar that you can live with everyday (by which they mean use no other car) is a Porsche.

Civilised enough to drive across continents, economical enough to commute to work in, spacious enough to bring home the shopping, even some seats in the back (for short journeys and / or short people).

Perfection is a strong word but ....... if it fits!!!

Someone did actually go all out on an H reg. Uno Turbo and shelled out £15 000 on that, Quaife gearbox and god knows what else, sadly it was basically a rust bucket underneath and when he inevitably lost control and hit a tree it left one of his mates in a wheelchair for the rest of his life.

Moral of that story being spend the £15 000 on a better car in the first place!

Personally I only have VW Passat 1.8T Sport estate, need it due to having to carry at various times, a large Alsatian, golf clubs & RC stuff. The only thing I've done to it is to have it remapped from 150 to 220 bhp.

Also, is it not time for a change in style?!?! That design has been around since the romans ruled the world.

If it ain't broke don't fix it, delanobe has IMHO the best looking 911 they ever made and the 911 is probably the only truly practical supercar you can buy.

A true sports car should be front engined, its built for the road not racing. Supercars should be mid engined.
