I'm thinking of coming over for 4WD even though I'm doing north west regionals this year. So is anyone else going for the non-regional heat? I don't really want to race on my own.

I called in at the venue on the way home and there are areas of standing water on the grass, but it is not all under water.

The area does drain quite well, and it has been sunny with no mor rain at York today, but I will keep an eye on it and keep you all informed.

Looks like there has been no rain overnight when I got to work this morning, and the river level has dropped about a foot. BUT the skies are very black

I'll call in at the venue again tonight on my way home to see what the score is.

we should just go indoors for the summer, and go outdoors for the winter, when we get all the sun.

Maybe the racing seasons should be starting later in the year.

But yes, it has been a really crap year for racing this year.

The latest BTCC meeting was cancelled on sunday because of the rain.....glad I didn't travel the 280+ miles to race there!!

Apart from Bury, where I got a lovely tan!

And Durham 4wd infact... where it was cold, but I burnt horribly...

Anyway, moving away from the idea that terrible weather will stirke us all on the weekend, Who is coming down, or even up to york is i would like to know if more people are coming to york than at Preston Park. Not that i am complaining, I got a few extra points.

Right, been down again tonight.

The area where the track will be is ok and is no longer waterlogged.

However some of the area around the outside of the track is waterlogged.

BUT lets get this in proportion, the track area IS NOT flooded!
