Hi,

Indeed racing without running

Good, we also enjoy seeing the top guys fighting it out at the top, but we also try to make it count further down. He can show his mates and get them racing. I remember getting my first trophy as a youngster so know the feeling

Mike

Yes it'll be morning racing. I'm taking a break and spending time with my wife. So I expect Julian and Dan will prob be running the show.

Hi Mike, sounds like you had a fantastic day with a great turnout. That's well deserved for all your hard work and pleasing I'm sure.
Sorry I couldn't come down to this one, however, the Party Bus Crew want to come soon. Had a last minute meeting today and couldn't turn away the revenue as I'm sure you're aware.
Keep up the good work down there, mate.
Matt

Hi,

Yes a great day for the club and gives me more confidence with further changes of applying for the mid south region - re the distance thing I'd request for a two day regional 2WD Saturday / 4WD Sunday like SE are doing this year.

Not a prob, fully understand. Yup it's been a hard slog, but full marks to the boys who have worked on the track etc.

Have a chat with the Schumacher south crew, DC and co at the next national as they're planning on coming back, don't know when though. Makes sense for a en mass trip if possible?

Oh and the Vega 201 was awesome, just needs someone better behind the wheel now! My SV will be heading for the shelf I feel

Good luck next weekend and see you at Silverstone for the 4WD regional, then herts and ware Can't do the 2WD series, not enough time in the day/months etc!

All you need to do is make parts of the track wider min 2.5mtrs (was only 2 in places) and make the rostrum slightly longer (Was a bit snug with 10 on the rostrum), create a bit more pitting area. Also get rid of that stupid sleeping policeman with these changes it would be a great addition to a regional series (whichever one it may be)

Oh and make Steve slow down.

I had a great day with some ups and downs, but I'm liking the new jumps

New car good too, thanks to Cammers for the close racing. Surely more to follow? I hope so. I have some video footage of today. I'm doing a new Torch promo vid, I made the old one but that's long gone from the website. If you're lucky I might have caught your car on camera. Luck of the draw I'm afraid.

And of course thanks to the usual suspects for organising a Grand Day Out.

Jack and I both had a great day - only he managed to win a 2nd place trophy whereas I managed a lowly 10th in my final

52 drivers in total which is a club record last broken about 20 years ago

There were some great battles in just about every final and I saw several finals decided on the very last corner. Thanks to Mr Dudders for his commentary during the finals - a very hard job especially when someone hands you the wrong final listing and you spend half the race commentating on the wrong final - sorry Neil, couldn't resist

To those of you who came and enjoyed yourself please tell your mates and come again.

We always want to get better though so constructive feedback is always welcome. I think widening the track slightly has already has already been mentioned so we will have to consider how we might do that without losing the flow of the track or the marshall safety spaces. We are already on the case with car parking - we coped yesterday due to everyone parking considerately but if we had had many more full sized cars it might have been a bit cozy. Contact details at top of this section or PM me on here.

Cheers and see you all hopefully on the 29th May for round 2 - don't forget we race every Sunday morning so plenty of opportunities to pop down for practice.

Rob
