If our beautiful summer kicks in and it p*sses down again, how far into a meeting do you have to be for the results to count in the event of an abondonment?

Is the calendar too full to try rearrange the meet if you only get a few rounds in?

Just come back from Glastonbury and I can tell you now, I'm fecked off with rain and mud. Its not funny anymore!

You need 2 rounds of qualifying for the results to stand, and with round by round (which would have to be used) it is you best SINGLE round score to count with ties (of which there would be a lot) decided on fastest time.

Just to let you know, there was a little rain here overnight but it has not rained this morning at all and the forcast is for a good afternoon.

I will be going to build the track at 12. Jim Dixon (the legend!) is there as type cutting the grass!

Ok, let's be a bit more positive. A Northy track, some good racing competition, some cans, BBQ, game of footie. Are we going ot let a few showers (from the BBC weather forecast) dampen the weekend? A little rain shouldnt spoil it, aslong as my airbed is not being used as a makeshift raft tomorrow, I'm determined to have a good time.

Ill be the one struggling to put up my new tent tonight with my girlfriend, trying to read the instructions by torchlight.

Asked the chairman @ TRCC on Wed night and the UK Off-Road calendar has no room for a rearranged date. That'll probably be so that the regions can run their series and get drivers sorted for the EOY finals.

No room for it to be re-run at another time

Usually an X6 will threaten the 4wd weight limit, especially with big spikey tyres on.

Very unusually I might not be able to bring myself to get my 4wd wet after a MASSIVE rebuild for the Europs and really no time to rebuild it again before I go to Belgium. Might run the X6 for any wet rounds as that's a doddle to clean

Well the track is built and looks good even if I do say so myself

The weather was great this afternoon, I've even got sun burnt.

HOWEVER, we are very limited on pitting space as we are not allowed on the football pitches as the season starts in four weeks time.

Please can everyone be sensible and bunch up as much as possible. There are areas marked off that we do not want cars running on (as its been so wet earlier this week) but you can put up your tents on there no problem at all.

Thanks guys.

Well, just watched the regional weather forecast and it looks bad, they are forcasting downpours, not just 'rain' and suggesting only drive if you have to, otherwise stay indoors

I really want to race, but on the other hand standing in a field getting soaked is rubbish when you don't have a nice big tent. I'll keep an eye on this thread tonight and see what's happening, looks like from G's comment's it's on, but I wonder what the recent weather forcast will do. Please somone post if it's cancelled so no-one has a wasted journey. It's typical, it's bright sunshine in Leeds right now....

This event is not cancelled!!!!

The track is laid out and ready to go.

IF the worst happens, and the weather is really bad, we will only be able to make a decision tomorrow. As the weather is right now (warm and sunny) it would be stupid to call it off.

Bloody nanny state, the whole fookin' world grinds to a halt now it seems if it rains or snows.

I get the feeling they are 'covering thier arses' after not really predicting the floods earlier in the week.
