I thought it was only those that completed enough rounds ie: 4 of 6 that got an F grade.

I am being optomistic with my F2 in 4wd as technically i don't quite make the 20% as there are only 9 that qualify.

That was one of my concerns and why I put "subject to....".

This is the line that corresponds to the number of peeps: -

"the number of drivers that satisfy the point scoring requirements for a Region‟s particular Series will be used as the base figure."


The decision for 2011 was that "best 4 scores from 6". This does set a maximum but not a minimum entry limit in which to be counted as part of the regional scoring.

It comes down to interpretation. Based on the info I have, I can only do it one way.

For me personally, I would like it to be the minimum of 4 entrys as you have put above, but that's not how I interprete it.

On the "4 rounds entered" method: I agree with you - It's 20%, from 9 drivers equals 1.8, rounded up - 2 drivers. You're an F2.

I'm not sure it can be calculated like that:

Rule 21.4.2, which you stated in your post.
Regional formulae will be allocated on a percentage basis as follows: the number of drivers that satisfy the point scoring requirements for a Region‟s particular Series will be used as the base figure.

Which implies to me that all drivers have to compete in the same number of rounds to be included in the F grading calculation.
The "points scoring requirement" in our case being stated on the results page of:

Best 4 rounds from 6 count toward overall total.


The current calculation favours those that have competed in more rounds rather than the ability of the drivers taking part. Which won't affect the overall winner but does distort the regional gradings achieved by racers.


As I see it there would be nothing to stop you using the best 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 from the six rounds, but you can't use all the drivers that have scored in the regional series.

True - and I agree with both of you.

I will defer to the one that is all things 1/10 and Off Road. Grand Master Worsley.

I am pretty sure the people it matters most too are, Mr Watson - who will remain unaffected and get the F2 he was after.

The rest of us will probably want to go back to the F3,4,5's next year, so the minimum 4 score method will work for us all remaining F3 and below.

I'll be honest and say it didn't bother me either way as you pointed out. Carl on the other hand was a little worried about becoming an F2, lol

Hell, F2 eh! - the old BK2 did me proud then this year.

The results went off to the supreme court and Mr Watsons nearly spot on.

Mr Alcock, you're an F4, (although I think for every decade that a car is old you should get bumped up at least 1 F grade!) George, Simon and Jonathan are F2's. They used the very latest cars and therefore should be F5's.
