Touring car racing starts this Saturday in Taney Hall, Dundrum

12/10/2011 - Touring Car racing in Taney Hall has been called off this winter as buggy racing in the Naul is so popular.





Hi all,

There is racing for anyone who is interested in Scale Saloons in Taney Hall, Dundrum this Saturday from 10am to 2pm.

This is part of a 4 week trial to see if there is any interest in the venue anymore. Racing in Taney was highly successful over the last two decades, but the introduction of indoor offroad racing (Prosperous, The Naul etc) over the last two years has meant that attendence has dwindled.

So, if the racing isn't supported for the next 4 weeks, it may be done away with altogether. This would be a loss to those interested in the onroad class, but the funds required to occupy the hall will be happily retained for use during next season should that happen.
