Really last nib kinwald I saw on eBay went for over $1500 US 2 years ago so if it goes for £400 I'd be amazed

I Agree with you, it such a iconic buggy and amazing straight out the box i would have thought it would make so much more like you said ive seen second hand ones get close to that price. It was so tempted to bid but it would have left me eating beans on toast for a while. I is cheap when you look what some other vintage rc buggies sell for.

Like Veeza - I had a figure of about £400 as a end figure in my mind also.

Whether the final end figure is too low or even too high, who knows? What can't be argued is that the ebay auction was offered with worldwide postage, links to the auction were placed on a few vintage R/C related Facebook pages & forums, it had a total of 27bids placed against it - so it reached a wide audience & that the value that it sold for must be a pretty good representation of what a NIB Losi XX KW is worth in today's market.

I did see that and was tempted, but I already have 3 and running out of storage so will have to sell some buggies soon.

I think it went cheap. Even if you put it in the loft and left it for a few years if you advertised it right you could get good money for a NIB I would say.

I think it's a great car, not crazy priced either. No rush to sell.

Its how it is matey. I had a brand new in packet TRINITY brace for sale on here with no interest below the price of a used one.

All you need to do is go on Ebay, type in Losi XX or TRINITY (sold listings) and you will see the prices.........

Would be nice to see what my NEW KINWALD with TRINITY parts would be worth.....

Just wanted to bring this back to the top, as there has been a bit of eBay activity for Losi XX and XXX recently. Prices look to be going up for spares definitely. Range of prices for XX sold: from £150-£200 for reasonable non kinwald. Kinwald models £300-£400+ range in good nick.

What’s the rules for vintage racing also? Will XXX become eligible soon? Surely that will have an impact on part supply and prices? Are more people running XX in vintage also?

I paid £130 for a losi xx and an xxt three years ago as a pair, I sold them a short time ago for almost £500 combined, I’m not sure why vintage prices have risen so much, guess it’s the take off of vintage racing. Depends on the series your entering as to wether the xxx is eligible, I know the iconic revival series only goes up to 98, putting the xxx a year too new. I’ve just bought an xx kinwald from the states for a good price so will be using that at next years event, or this if I can get in. I’ve seen a few people using them And they appear to go well. If your thinking of getting an xx or an xxx just check with where your planning to run it if it’s eligible or not. Unfortunately the vintage market as a whole is going up in price, bargains are still there but are harder to find and few and far betweeen. Good luck on your search.
