KF1 steering
Still loving my KF (saddle chassis).
Had a go with friends YZ2 and liked the more direct steering his car had - touch sharper than my KF. What should I change from stock to sharpen up the front end - mainly initial steering? |

Try raising the rear inner link by 1-2mm or shorten the front upper link to the inside hole on the hub. Both will get you more initial turn in.

Ive had a KF1.. and now run a YZ2. I've found the YZ2 naturally has more overall steering than the KF did - which i much prefer. Anything you add to gain more initial will take away on the exit.
I'd of suggested what Dan said.. if you already have them on then it'd be worth putting your full setup on for people to suggest other changes. |

I will see how it goes with the shocks stood up a little more - i've also added a little weight under the servo - so i'll see how it goes - it's not bad - and the smoothness of the car suits my driving - but I could do with just a tad more sharpness on corner entry. Car is pretty much Kit Setup - apart from: Rear - long camber link - 1.6x3 drilled pistons with 25wt oil Front - short camber link - kit pistons (not drilled) with 37.5wt oil Running 23mm height all round - 1.5 camber at rear 1 at front. |

Rear end sounds quite soft to me.. and could lack rotation?
id go thicker in the oil - i used to run 30-32.5. And i ran the middle hole on the link. 23mm ride height is abit high also. I always start at 20 all round and tend to end up near 18 depending on grip and bumps. It does sound as if you've softened the rear up to compensate for wanting it to be smoother and less aggressive. i'd look to dial it back in a little more as the rear end could be wanting to grip too much. |

Cheers Paul.
I'll try upping the rear oil. It is soft compared to other peoples cars. Andy |

Raise the front axle to highest position. Also stand front shocks up a little more.
Weight in nose or even soften front spring.
