World Record and Charity Rowing Attempt
If its ok with everyone, i'd just like to plug a friend's World Record attempt and Charity raising for ' Help for Hero's ' which raises money for our wounded armed sercice personel in the UK. A very worthwhile cause, and close to my own heart.
His name is Pete Bray and he is attempting to beat the existing record of 64 days to row across the atlantic, a tough record to beat in anyones book. But he's ex-SAS, a tough cookie and has undertaken and beaten other water canoeing/rowing World Records in the past few years, including the first person EVER to Kayak across the Atlantic solo and completely unsupported in 2001. There is a ' donations ' tab on his front page, if you can donate something then thank you very much, it WILL make a difference. But even if you cant, just visiting his site will show his Sponsors that people ARE taking an interest in his Record Attempts and Charity Work - this time its ' Help for Heroes ' - and that will help him in the future for further charity events and other expeditions. His site is - www.peterbrayadventurer.com There is a live update page on where he is right at this moment - 15 days into the attempt and stuck in a 'dead zone' going round in circles ! Thanks for your help Matt |
