Default More 80's Nostalgia...

But this time, BMX !

Back to the days of the start of mainstream BMX in the UK... about the same time i started R/C with my Holiday buggy - i was a busy lad in those days A mate sent me this link, and Ive spent the last hour reminicing about BMX with him this morning....

http://dtrcartwright.pwp.blueyonder....urner/mki1.htm

I remember taking my Tuff Burner to the UK's very first BMX track in Reddich waaaay back when, and being sh*t scared of the famous 'Bomb Hole' the first time i saw it.... soon got over that though when i started racing there, jumping it came the norm. Soon after the Burner, i progressed to a Skyway T/A.. what a bike that was

And for those of you here that know me... it wont suprise you, but yes, i still have that very same Tuff Burner in the garage

I'd still have the Skyway T/A as well, but my nephew 'borrowed' it a few years back and it got nicked... and even forgetting my memories of racing it at Reddich, Birmingham Wheels & Leamington, they are also worth a bloody fortune these days

Hey ho. For those here that remember the Burners and early 80's BMX, enjoy the link

Default Tuff Burner

Don't suppose the Tuff Burner is for sale?

I had a Super Tuff 2 and always wanted a TA, but it never happened.

Blimey....Skyway...that is a blast from the past!

My next door neighbour in Stroud was a Skyway team rider....he had a half pipe in his back garden! The half pipe was far to scary and big (although actually quite small for a half pipe I suspect)...used to sit and watch him pulling all sorts of crazy stuff off on it though.

Did used to race at our local BMX track....come to think of it, it'd make an ace RC track too...
