Default Short Course Carnage 2011, August 14th 2011

Hi Ooplers,

A1 Racing Club are pleased to announce Short Course Carnage 2011

Sunday August 14th 2011

Outdoor astroturf venue, near Grantham, Lincolnshire.

Will be same format as last years meeting with Saturday as open practice and Sunday race meeting.

Camping is available on Saturday night with no charge,

Will be ran on our new 1/10th track with some special added SCT features built for this meeting.

Great opportunity to get practice in at our track for the UK SCT Nationals Finale on 25th September

Full details poster will be advertised asap, with sponsors to be confirmed but will be running a raffle as last years went down well with the drivers.

Racing will consist of 4 rounds of qualifiers and 3 finals, run in grid start format as its more fun than staggered starts with trucks.

If enough interest then 1/8th electric buggies and 1/10th Truggy classes will be run in support

see www.A1RacingClub.com for venue/club details

Mark.

Cheers to the A1 racing crew for todays meet. The new layout made the triples very risk and reward (more risk in my case ) .

The best racing meet ive been to!!...didnt start very well for me(pt didnt register for grid qualifying but ended with my first ever A final win and 2nd overall which was my best result ever, the track was brilliant and the A1 wreking crew were excellent! they even had a firework display on saturday night( okay it was a firework display that was happening up the road but we could see it!!!).
the start format was a new one to me but worked very well and didnt turn up many problems...the marshalling was spot on and the whole event ran like clockwork....
I just hope the club can hold more sc events.....

Thanks for the positive comments guys, glad you all had a good time and enjoyed the meeting, it makes it all worth it.

The A1 team put a lot of effort in to make the meeting that litle bit different and give you all as much track time as possible on a different and interesting track.

A big thanks have to go to CML Distribution, HPI Racing UK, Schumacher, Radio Race Car magazine and A1 Hobbies Ltd for supplying the prizes for the well stocked raffle. Young Lucas scooping the star prize Blitz ESE.

The first lot of photo's are here:

http://www.a1racingclub.com/gallery/...carnage-2011!/

There shoudl be some more photo's to come and a video of the third leg A final short course.

Hope to see you all soon for some more Short Course action.
Cheers

Chris

Was just about to type pretty much the same thing, cheers Chris!

Thanks for the feedback guys, was nice to see you all and glad you enjoyed it.

The A1 Wreckin Crew loves the trucks so there will definitely be more meetings in the future and they are always welcome at our club

Mark

(P.S Brooky... i'll get you a ginger chin wig and we'll start a club )
