Newbie club racer but which buggy should i get?
Looking at joining a club to race 4WD 1:10 Offroad Buggies, i have narrowed my search down to the following:
Schumacher Cat SX2 http://www.modelsport.co.uk/?CallFun...n&ItemID=35456 or the Associated B44 Factory Team Kit http://www.modelsport.co.uk/?CallFun...n&ItemID=28600 i know the Schumacher is'nt out yet but should i wait for it or go with the Associated??? Marty |

Hi Marty,
Have a trip down to the club you are planning to race at. See what people are using, opinions Its nice having the same car as others at the club for set up tips and borrow spares if required |

It is best to try as many as you can (most club guys will let you have a spin with their cars) and choose the one that suits you.
Add the Kyosho Lazer ZX5-FS to your list too, very easy to get along with |

Then again whats wrong with 2wd. The Associated B4 buggy Ready to run kit is a lot cheaper than buying a 4wd and comes with all the gear you need to get going, plus its cheaper to maintain.

Cat sx and a B44... not sure if you could have picked 2 more different cars!
What were the criteria when narrowing the search to these 2?

to be honest with you i am a bit of a newbie, but i did my reaserch and asked a couple of people who have been racing for years. they said to go for the b4 for a first time buy. i agree with welshy40 ! the team associated b4 rtr (2wd) was and still is my first ever car and they are brilliant!!! it is easy to find spares for them and they are cheap for what you get if you get it from the right place. but if you are looking for a 4wd then i'd go for the b44 because they have won loads of awards!!!
