Default CV set up page thing?

I now need to start thinking about getting a job and everywhere ive asked, obviously they have told me to hand in my CV and they will get back to me, but theres a problem, i have no idea how to make up a CV.
Is there like a set up sheet that i can download or copy?
P.S. Probably a stupid question, but what does CV stand for?

make it to the point, no waffling, keep it to an A4 sheet, cover qualifications, any work experience and goals for your future.

never heard of that before on a CV, however as its for a first job it maybe something but i would have a look around google first or even phone up some recruitment agencies before you do!

My mums hardly ever in, too busy with work at the moment so by the time she gets back she's too tired to do anything.

Be honest on the CV. As you're 17 it won't be the biggest in the world and you might not have a stack of qualifications to put down there, so after your school stuff your hobbies are going to be a plus for you. Try and "angle" your hobbies towards the job your going for. If it's a mechanic you've obviously got a lot to work on. Don't just mention the RC stuff but fill it out by saying that you also very interested in the technical side of the racing for example. Big up this bit I'd say. If it does get to interview they will ask about these as they will be a major feature of your CV so be prepared to be able to talk about the things you've written.

Be realistic about what you apply for and be prepared for rejection, every time it happens (and it happens to everyone) you can learn from it and improve. Send off loads of them, the more the merrier, it can't do any harm.

When you've made a CV I'd be happy to check it over for you and give you a bit of advice, just PM me for my email address.

Bollocks, I've just seen the dates on that, I feel like an idiot now.

Looks like a bit of a spam member there.
